What are my paper choices on the CD recycled series?
We have two options on the R-1 and R-3 formats of the recycled series: Brown Chipboard and an uncoated paper that is white on one side, brown chipboard on the other. Both are 100% recycled. Please check the recycled series section.
For the R-2 format only the brown chipboard is available
Do you offer graphic design?
Yes we do, Please send us a detailed email with your enquire and we will be glad to send you a quote.Our designers are experienced dealing withb all aspects of design formats and requirements for optimal printing.
How do I get a barcode for my CD?
You can purchase it through an on-line UPC code vendor. You can then include the image to be printed in your artwork, or we can make stickers for you if you only want a barcode on a few pieces.
Placing An Order
How long will my job take?
It depends on the product you choose, here is an estimated turnaround time for the different products:
- CD recycled series: 200 in 1 week plus delivery time
- Digipack: any amount takes 1 week plus delivery time
- Print services: 1 week plus delivery time
- Graphic design: please send your enquiry to give you an estimate
It's a good idea to call ahead to confirm scheduling. In order to begin your job we need your final artwork, a 50% deposit on the job, and all job order details confirmed.
Are CDS duplicated or replicated?
We do duplication of CDs under 500 units. We also do replication for over 500 units
What is the best way for me to get my art files to Kipuka?
We give you an option to upload your art to our .ftp server or you can e-mail files if they are smaller than 10MB. Of course, if you prefer to mail us a disc, that's fine, too.
Do you work with international customers?
Yes we do. we use standard or express delivery and
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payments through pay-pal or via bank transference
How about shipping, tax and customs ?
Price do not include shipping, tax or customs. The customer have to pay for this
Can I come in to look at samples? Or can you send me some?
Of course! It's always helpful to have real samples in hand so you can decide on the package, print process, and paper that will work best for you. You will be charged shipping & handling only. If you are local, you can always stop by to look at samples and take a standard sample package home with you.
Printing Process
I see on the CD recycled series that is printed only in one side, Can we print on both sides of the paper? Does it cost extra?
We can print both sides at an extra cost on the RS-1 format
Do you offer screenprinting?
Yes we do. we offer on CD production of recycled series and also on T-shirts. actually on the RS-2 format of the recycled series printing is only possible with screenprint.
Does it cost more printing on colour or black and white ?
It is the same price printing in one colour or full colour on CD production and on any printing service. On this products we make no difference on the colours you use
Is there a printed booklet also included on CD packaging?
We can print booklets for almost all on CD formats, please send your enquiry and we we will gadly send you quote
Does your price include shrink wrap on CD packaging?
Four our recycled series we include recyclable, resealable clear poly bags to wrap your packages in a classy and responsible option instead of shrink wrap.

Proofing Art
Can I see a color proof?
To avoid any issues regarding colour proof we recomend you send us your artwork on .pdf
Can you send me a sample of the job when it's on press so I can see what it looks like on the paper I chose? Can you send me one copy of the printed piece before I decide to run them all?
For our recycled series we can send you a picture with a printed sample. For other formats (metal, wood, etc) is not possible. Once it's on press, we will run the complete job.
Responsability
Do you deal with copyright and autoher society issues ?
We are not responsable for copyright issues. The customer is responsable for any issues regarding copyright rights

What format should I send files ?
Problematic aplications
It is true that PDF files can be created by many software programs, but not all are suitable for creating PDF files for professional printing (offset printing and digital). Aswe can not be made available for all programs with a detailed manual for creating printable PDF data, we recommend that you contact the software manufacturerto check if and how it is possible to create a PDF according to PDF/X-3: 2002 standard.
Conversion to PDF
Conversion means the conversion of a TIFF or JPEG file into a printable PDF.
We enable you to convert documents / TIFF or JPEG with a charge of € 30
Color Profiles
Color profiles with ICC-based colors can lead to unwanted print output in color reproduction and thereforeshould be avoided.
Our advice: If you create data with Acrobat Distiller, choose color -> color management, do not change color 'and choose standards -> profile name intended output color profilethat matches your product. Please note that this method all the images and colors must be converted to CMYK in advance. The profile "ISO Coated v2 300% (ECI)" can be downloaded from www.eci.org. Printing Colors
- Process colors (CMYK)
A process color is obtained by printing certain colors in different screen angles. In theclassical four-color printing are cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Most of our products are printed by this method.
Our advice: The print data sent must be created only in pure CMYK. Full coverage color(also with the alternate color space CMYK) color space and device NChannel can lead to misinterpretations in the exhibition. If you use RGB color spaces color deviations may occur.
- Colors full color (eg. HKS)
A full color cover (also called color ornament or special color) is a color mix. The advantage of a full color coverage can also be printed colors that are not achievable infour-color printing. Some well-known manufacturers of full color coverage are p. eg.HKS and Pantone. Some of our products are printed with a color of HKS (eg. Notepaperof 2 / 0 or 2 / 1 colors).

What about colour diferences on printing ? My order had some diferences in the colour, what is the problem ?
Despite having the most modern printing machines of last generation may be the case with minor differences in color. The result of printing depends on many factors and is also influenced by the paper finish of each manufacturer, the degree of whiteness, the sense of role or whether it is matte or glossy. Also weather conditions such as temperature or humidity in the place of printing may influence the outcome. The color differences caused by these reasons are in tolerance, since our system is based on the optimal use of our forms and printing machines and are no reason for complaints.
